Cycling In London

Welcome To Bigfoot Bikes Online
Bigfoot Shop Window
Bigfoot Bikes is a rider owned bike shop with a passion for all things cycling. Our specialties are road, MTB and folding bikes, but we cater for cyclists of all levels of abilities. From leisure bikes for family rides around the park to custom machines to win races we can help.

The shop is also packed with every type of spares and accessories to keep your bike on the road and make cycling as enjoyable as possible. Our workshop offers a fast and flexible professional service, and we're happy to take on any job from pumping up tyres to a full strip down and rebuild.

The Bigfoot Bike Club is associated with the shop and has over 100 members. Rides vary from gentle family outings to all day epics, and when they aren't working the shop staff are usually out on the club runs.

We are based in Hayes just outside Bromley and only a few miles from Croydon. Pop in for a chat about bikes or take advantage of our mail order service.

Bigfoot 10th Anniversary

Bigfoot Bikes opened for business in October 1998 which means we are now celebrating our 10th anniversary!

Bike technology has changed at a rapid pace in the last decade with the average bike changing from having a fully rigid heavy steel frame with poor brakes and few gears to something with an aluminium or carbon frame, 27 gears, full suspension and disc brakes.

Thankfully by starting out when we did we have been able to keep on top of the latest bike technology and we are confident selling all the innovative products the cycling world has to offer yet can still service and offer advice on older styles of bike.

Koga Tesla Electric Bike - Demo Model Now Available

The idea of an electric bike is appealing for commuting and getting around town as they offer assistance getting up hills and can increase speeds even when heavily laden. However many bikes have been let down by a good motor being fitted onto a poor quality bike.

The Koga Tesla is an exception with a hand built frame and top quality components being combined with a powerful but still light motor system. The battery is integrated into the frame making the design look a lot sleeker than alternative makes.

We now have a demonstration model, to book a test ride please call or email us. Full specifications of the Tesla range can be found at the Koga website

Lance Armstrong

...and naturally he is riding a Trek. Lance Armstrong has announced his return to professional racing in a bid to win an eighth Tour de France. Armstrong says his main motive for coming out of retirement is his determination to carry his cancer fighting message around the world.

He will be riding for the Trek-sponsored Astana Pro Cycling Team which are equipped with Trek Madone and Madone TTX bikes for the coming season.

Shot Blok

Shot Bloks are the new no mess, no fuss way to get a burst of energy to get you through a ride. Packed with electrolytes, these energy chews are a great alternative to traditional gels.

3 bloks provide the same amount of energy as a gel but are a lot easier to eat. They also make it easy to control your energy intake so you can keep riding stronger for longer.

Available at Bigfoot now in Orange, Cran-Razz and Strawberry flavours.
